Villa location: How to Reach Amalfi Coast

The closest airport is Naples. The nearest major train stations are Naples (connecting to the local Circumvesuviana Line into Sorrento) and Salerno. From there it is possible to take public transport services or we can arrange private transfers.

Private transfers for the Naples airport rail station can be arranged (up to 3 pax: 90 euro, 4-6 pax: 140 euro, up to 8 pax: 165 euro, 9-12 pax: 200 euro, 13-18 pax: 290 euro. Travel time from Naples to Praiano is about 90 minutes).

From Nord

If you're traveling by car from Rome to Sorrento, Positano, or Praiano:

  • take the AUTOSTRADA A1 and then the A3;
  • after passing Pompei, take the first exit, which is Castellamare di Stabia;
  • follow the signs to Sorrento-Positano-Praiano.

It should take approximately 90 minutes from Naples-Caserta, where the A1 ends.

From South

To get to Praiano from the A3 Sa-Rc highway:

  • take the Salerno exit and then continue onto the SS 163 (Costiera Amalfitana) road
  • follow this road along the scenic Amalfi Coast until you reach Praiano.

You should be able to find your destination easily once you arrive.

Airport

From NAPLES airport the CURRERI coach company offers connections to and from Sorrento, in alternative from NAPLES you can also take the local CIRCUMVESUVIANA private train to SORRENTO (1hr) and then the SITA bus to Positano, Praiano and Amalfi (approx 90mins ask the driver to stop you at the Continental).

From ROME

There are regular trains to NAPLES and SALERNO (approx. 90 mins).

From June to September there is a direct bus service (Marozzi) from Tiburtina Station in ROME to PRAIANO.
There are also direct bus services (Curreri & Marozzi) from ROME-SORRENTO all year round.

Public transport is recommended as PARKING is at a premium on the Amalfi Coast, however PARKING is available.
